NIHR Delegation Meets with Director of Human Rights Institute of Lyon
On the sidelines of the International Conference on Human Rights Approaches held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, NIHR Vice chairperson Mr. Abdullah Al-Derazi, in the presence of Head of NIHR Committee on Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Ms. Maria Khouri, met with Director of the Human Rights Institute of Lyon Mr. Andrea Dizdarevic, where the two sides discussed means of activating their cooperation and benefiting from the training programs and post-graduate studies offered by the Human Rights institute of Lyon.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency NIHR Vice chairperson provided an overview of the NIHR’s work in the field of institutional building, in terms of the enhancement and dissemination of the human rights culture and aspects of cooperation with various human rights stakeholders, stressing that the NIHR supports and encourages the educational and academic process.
For his part, Director of the Human Rights Institute of Lyon praised the role adopted by the NIHR and its keenness to enhance and develop the culture of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain via specialized programs and workshops in the human rights area.
